Mod «Propaganda Campaigns» for Hearts of Iron 4 (v1.10.1 - 1.10.7)

Propaganda was and still is a powerful tool when it comes to rallying people for a war. World War II especially saw massive propaganda campaigns by all participants, some of which still hold their influence to this day. Unfortunately, HOI4 pays little to no attention to this topic except for one or two useless decisions that you never use anyway. So let's change that, shall we?

Features

This mod adds a completely new propganda system to the game. Complete decisions and create departments for your information agency to earn Propaganda Tokens that can then be used to launch powerful propaganda campaigns. These campaigns not only give you an advantage over your enemies, but are also displayed in the game in the form of real posters from the second world war. (Read the disclaimer at the bottom)

The main focus of this mod is to add new peace-time mechanics which extend the base game in a meaningful way, while still maintaining the original game flow.

Update 0.8.4 "Il Veille, Il Vaincra" adds 17 posters and 6 leaflets to both France and Vichy France! Since my exams will start soon, this will probably be the last update until January / early November. Have fun with the new update!

Additions:

• Added 3 Game Rule Settings for activating and deactivating the AI (activated by default)

Changes:

• Changed how tilesets are recognized by the mod to allow some new functions for submods
• Changed the "on_startup" behavior for all nations included in the mod. They no longer use the "prca_enabled" country flag, as is (and will remain) the case for submods
• Various other minor changes to the mod structure
