The Anomaly dlc has been out for a while now, and it's time to add more new entities to this crazy rimworld!
Metalstorm / Shard Portal mod contains 1 new entity, 1 new building, 2 backpacks, and research.
Please note that the next introduction will specify the characteristics of the entities, so if you wish to keep it a mystery, don't read on, they will surprise you.
Shard Portals will provide a new form of transportation that can teleport ranged creatures, items and even wall buildings to any location you wish (as long as you can provide the beacon). This means you can quickly deploy a max 11*11 defense position to any location they need, or bring entities down in a mission back to the colony instead of letting them disappear into the map.
The Metalstorm, on the other hand, is a siege entity that will arrive with its mates. With chaos skip, I'm sure it will bring a fun time to everyone.
Q: What if the terrain at the target location of the teleport doesn't support heavy construction?
A: portal transforms the terrain of the target location into Void Metal. So yes, you can use this trait to transform terrain.
Possibly a related punitive event will be added later, so please leave a comment telling me what you think about this.
Q: What happens if a building that teleports is partly in teleport range and partly out of range?
A: Such a building will not be teleported.
Q: I don't want to add an extra Metalstorm to the ending battle, it's too hard
A: Maybe a subsequent update will add a mod setting that can be turned off, but for now it's not there, that's it
