Warhammer 40.000 - Genes

Most recent change:

- Nurgle mining aptitude replaced by cooking aptitude.
- Ritual overhaul:
- Psykers and Pariahs can now be created and upgrade similar to space marines, they require captured psyker/pariah potential, which can be harvested from other living psykers and pariahs, higher tier will give more potential. This by default has a 35% chance (can be chanced in mod settings) of killing the pawn and will remove their psychic/pariah genes if they survive(or die).
This means that the undivided spot and imperium spot no longer has rituals for those. The imperium spot is effectively useless now.
-All god specific rituals now require a specific item.
Tzeentch requires ancient grimoires which can be crafted at the hand tailoring bench and electric tailoring bench.
Nurgle requires disease containment capsules which can be made at fabrication benches.
Slaanesh requires psychedelic mix which can be crafted at drug tables.
Khorne requires adorned bloody skulls which can be crafted at the butcher spot and butcher table.
Undivided rituals uses a mix of them all.
- Some things have been completely removed or hidden and as such may cause one time hopefully harmless red errors.
- Hopefully my xenotypes should spawn properly at desserter and and empire faction for VE


If there are any errors try resubbing to mod and other modules you might be using before anything else.



It introduces all 19 geneseeds organs in the form of genes, 3 primaris genes, 4 psyker genes, 3 pariah genes, 10 chaos genes and 2 other genes. Most if not all of these genes are strong and are meant to be.

It also includes 5 new ritual spot, one for each god + undivided, that allows you to perform rituals in the hope of being rewarded by the gods.
Additionally it also introduces 3 other buildings, one for progressing through the space marine genes, one for psyker genes and one for pariah genes. Each requires a unique item to fuel.

Space/Primaris marine genes can be harvested from space/primaris marines with fully grown progenoid glands via a surgery.
Psyker and pariah potential can be harvested from other living psykers and pariahs.

You can also research the secrets to make your own space marine, priamris marines, custods and primarch.
You will need the automated genetor and geneseed capsules to fuel it, which can be made at the fabrication bench. The genetor will hold the pawn for some time, where upon complition is will award one gene, starting with the secondary heart. It will then add the genes one by one until you have all space marine genes, upon this your xenotype name and icon will switch to that of a space marine (No genes will be removed during this procedure).
If a space marine is inserted they will instead gain primaris genes. Primaris will get custodes gene (which will replace all space and primaris marine genes). Custodes will get primarch gene (Which replaces custodes gene).





Big and Small + Prerequisites Framework


If Dubs Rimatronics or Crash Landing is installed then the Melanochrome gene gives immunity to their radiation.

If using any HAR race i HIGHLY suggest to use Big and Small + Prerequisites Framework as they fix issues with body scaling when using HAR races.

If using any of Spencer7w's 40k mods there are patches to make them use my geneseeds.

If using Combat Extended then daemon weapons and gene stats have been patched.


These patches can toggled and can be found in: Mod options -> Vanilla Framework Expanded -> Toggable Patches, under Warhammer 40k - Genes

The patches should be self explanatory and it is required to restart for them to take effect.

With some gene combination your pawn can potentially get rather big which will cause pawn texture to be cut off, this can be fixed by going into VFE mod settings and checking "Disable texture caching"

If your pawns head and body are weirdly positioned, try downloading the suggested mod and check if that helps.

A1: Harvest a fully grown progrenoid gland VIA A SURGERY that should become available after 60 days.
