Produced from 1895 to the 30's, the Lee Navy was the standard rifle for the US marines, seeing most of it's use during the Spanish-American war in the Pacific theater. After 1898, they began to be replaced with newer rifles, although it survived in some naval units until the 20's. Production, mostly for the private market, continued well into the 30's.
