The SPG-9 Kopye (СПГ-9 Копьё) is a Soviet tripod-mounted man-portable recoilless rifle capable of firing 73mm rocket-assisted warheads like those on the BMP-1’s 2A28 cannon. It entered service in the USSR in 1962 and was exported globally with many countries like producing local copies like Bulgaria (ATGL-H) and Romania (AG-9). The widespread usage of the SPG-9 led to it appearing in many conflicts during the Cold War and beyond. Nowadays, it is also well known for being a popular weapon among terrorists, insurgents, pirates, etc. who have commonly mounted it on vehicles called technicals. However, unlike similar weapons like the RPG-7, the SPG-9 requires much more skill to operate.
I’ve taken liberties with this mod: Both warheads have the same trajectory, so there is only one scope reticle, the PG-9’s. The scope chevrons are somewhat accurate, but the margin of error is still noticeable at times.
