Map «[Frontlines] Regicide» for Ravenfield (Build 30)

Major Offensive: REGICIDE was recently passed down from High Command. Orders are to seize this strategically important land before opposing forces do the same. Pack up, conscript, hope you aren't afraid of heights.

This island has been mostly spared from the hell that is the frontline, but it still shows the markings of centuries of war. Old artillery, coastal fortresses, formerly-horse-drawn carts, and crucial logistical ski lifts that somehow still have power. Above it all, two cargo planes spin eternal, throwing a seemingly endless supply of soldiers into the fight. Long range sniping, close range sweeping, and ambushes from the sky, this map aims to feel like a true royal battle. Or battle royale, if you prefer.

• Battle Royale layout, with two planes circling an island.
• Designed for infantry combat, though it features a small selection of vehicles.
• Functioning chairlifts allow quick traversal through the map, but expose you to the dangers on the other side.
• Most buildings or fortifications are enterable.
• Highly optimised, can support large bot battles.

This map draws obvious inspiration from 18th and 19th century battlegrounds and was made to convey the feeling of a "forever war". Though not entirely realistic, I thought it was the perfect fit for a project such as Frontlines; though equipment and technology may change, war never does.
