Mod «Historical Portraits» for Hearts of Iron 4 (v1.13.6)

This mod replaces portraits of historical characters by black and white photos. Secondly, for aesthetic reasons, it gives black and white portraits style to generic and random characters.
Currently, the mod contains about 2950 unique photos. Beyond all, and its one of the main interest of the mod, several hundred historical characters with generic portraits now have now their true faces!
This mod brings a unique photo for a character in these both cases: with or without the DLC. In vanilla, if a character exists and is also concerned by a DLC, owners of the DLC have the unique portrait for him, and non-owners have the generic portrait.

Hi Fix the leaders pictures i cant see them
I am pretty sure that the mod function well. What is precisely the problem with leader pictures ?
Do you talk about the mod or the submod ?
What resolution do you play with ?
Hey again Do i turn on this mod and submod together I try both and this but it crashes or dont show pictures of leaders i only see leader of france and other like bugged

I try to reproduce the bug but I can't. Do you play with OpenGL, DirectX 9 or 11? Fullscreen or windowed ?
Try to unsubscribe to the mod and subscribe to it again. Then be sure to test it with a launch only with these mods.

THE 5th YEAR ANNIVERSARY UPDATE of Historical Portraits is live since last friday!
A little before the 1st july.
This anniversary update marks a significant increase in the number of photos (patchnote is here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails... )
The many updates (355) since the birth of the mod, then of its main sub-mod «more leaders» (40) in April 2020 have been the result of more than 1500 hours of work at least (research, coding, corrections, additions of content over the course of the evolution of the game and the requests of the players, etc).
It takes a lot of time to find photos, work on them and add their codes to the files, especially for advisors.
My other two major mods, Historical National Focus Dates and Historical Speeches and Songs Decisions, and like the other mods (like «Historical Leaders Replacement Events [submod]») also required a lot of coding learning (I started from zero and quite simply hours of work. So far I have had to put in a lot of effort, always with passion and concern for perfectionism. Historical Portraits is my darling baby. I intend to continue working on it (and also on Historical National Focus Dates). Because the game will still evolve thanks to Paradox Interactive, and I will therefore have to add photos. This will start with the addition of content with the release of the next DLC «By Blood Alone» (Italy, Switzerland, Ethiopia).
That's why the 5 year update comes with a donation system, a «Buy me a cofee» button visible at the bottom of the presentation page. For a good coffee and hours of concentration! Your financial support will be used to buy the next DLCs!
These gifts can be seen essentially as a gratification for the work already done in 5 years on Historical Portraits and also the other mods in «A collection of historical mods» ( https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails /?id=1730953972).
