The Gates of Versailles, a mod based around the idea 'What if the Napoleonic Wars ended in a stalemate?'.

The point of divergence is when the Battle of Trafalgar proved indecisive, and later France gets bogged down in the Peninsula War. The Napoleonic Wars end with France having to retreat from it's Central European territories, like the Illyrian Provinces, Poland and Eastern Germany, but it still keeps the Confederation of the Rhine and its holdings in the low countries. A whole century of history later and we find ourselves in 1914, when the Great War has just begun. The entente consiting of France, Russia and the United Kingdom face off against the Central Powers which includes Prussia, the Austrian Empire, the Ottoman Empire and the United States. The entente narrowly wins the war, with the help of a good defense around the Rhine and British commonwealth troops. Now in 1936 the world is about to be set ablaze. Prussia is preparing to unify Germany into one state. Russia is at a crossroads of complete degeneracy and a democracy. Like Prussia, Italy is heading the unification of Italy under Mussolini. The king of the Untied Kingdom, George V, is dying and whoever his heir may be will change the future of the United Kingdom. The boy emperor of France, Napoleon VI, has shown little interest in politics, but has expressed interest in a modern reconquest of Europe. The following years will decide the future of Europe. Will France fall into the annals of history like empires of yonder, or will Europe be under the napoleonic fist again?

CHANGES:

• Mod has been updated to 1.10.7
• The Treaty of Aden has been renamed to "Treaty of Sana'a" due to Yemen not owning Aden anymore
• Rework the British and American naval OOB
• Prussian techs now utilize German names: No more "Light Tanks II" but instead say hello to "Panzerkampfwagen II"

BUGS FIXES: (thanks to Lukasyn Bashar Al Bassed and fhoop26 for most of the bugs reported!)

• The Italian Middle East Border Gore is no more
• The Italian Armies in Africa has been deleted and will no longer appeared in Africa
• When Yemen accept to become an Italian puppet, the state of Hadramut isn't given anymore since Yemen don't hold it anymore
• When puppeted, Austria cannot do the Carpathian Pact
• The Carpathian Pact name has been fixed
• Fix the British Raj and British East Indies still being called that after being puppeted by another nation
• Ukraine Ideology has been switched back to Conservative Democracy instead of Communism/Revolutionnary Jacobinism
• Some localisation have been fixed

• New parts of the world have been reworked for better lore, this include the Indian Subcontinent, Nusantra/Indonesian set of Islands, The Americas (North, South and Central), Mexican Empire, Portugal and Africa
• NB: Some border have changes completely by shape, because some of the vanilla states, that we were based of, where also changes, so if some of them look weird, consider them temporary as in 0.2 they will change again
• Some countries in Asia have been reworked
• More states and more provinces have been added: more than a 160 states and more than 400 provinces
• New Portraits for Tribhuvan (NEP), Alfonso López Pumarejo (COL), Jorge Ubico (GUA), George V (ENG), Charles Curtis (USA), Benito Mussolini (ITA), Hirohito (JAP)
