VAZ-2121 «Niva» - Soviet and Russian small-class SUV with a front engine and permanent all-wheel drive. Produced at the plant in Togliatti from 1977 to the present. Since 2006 it has been called «Lada 4x4».
Body «fields» 3 or 5 doors «station wagon», with 4 or 5-speed transmission and permanent all-wheel drive, working through a two-stage transfer case located in the middle of the car, as well as the possibility of locking the center differential. There is no cross-axle differential lock. Ground clearance (clearance) is 220 mm, which, together with short overhangs, makes the car very passable off-road.
