Are you tired of the vague room assignment logic in the vanilla game? Frustrated when your kitchen gets misidentified just because another workbench is placed inside? Annoyed that your workshop is labeled a bedroom just because you added a bed? Or irritated when a bedroom with multiple unused beds is wrongly classified as a barracks?
If your answer is "yes," then perhaps you need a Room Sign—a customizable solution that lets you define room roles yourself. With it, you can explicitly designate a room as a bedroom, kitchen, workshop, or any other function. It helps you bypass the game’s convoluted weighted logic (and may even improve performance by simplifying calculations).
Of course, only one Room Sign is allowed per room. If you try to place multiple signs in one room, only the first one built will take effect. Also, if you attempt to place the sign outdoors—trying to declare the whole world as one room—it won’t work, unfortunately.
A new type of building has been added: doorplate (costlist :5 Steel;Category:Misc), which allows you to control the room role of the current room.
