Reason: Update mod to version: 07.04.23
This mod reworkes some mechanics of Medieval Overhaul and adds some new ones. All features added can be toggled on/off separately in the Vanilla Expanded Framework settings.
What is included?
Note: After you change the settings, you need to restart the game.
Default setting: Enabled
What does it do?
All trees yield vanilla wood as before, which can be used immediately for building objects or crafting items.
The research lumber or the trestle workbench remain and can be used for the production of wooden planks. As in Medieval Overhaul, 1 log can be used to produce 2 planks.
However, these wooden planks have slightly less health points and poorer isolation.
What happens when you deactivate this option?
All objects built from wooden planks while this mod was active will be lost, respectively the walls will lose the information of which material they were built from and will appear white.
Default setting: Disabled
What does it do?
The following resources spawn on a newly created map after this patch has been activated:
What happens when you deactivate this option?
Can be deactivated/activated without further ado. But once you have generated a map with these mineables you can not remove them.
Default setting: Enabled
What does it do?
There is an additional research "Advanced scribe table" which can be researched after the carrier birds. An additional requirement for the research is the presence of the book "The Geologist: or Down and Up again", which must be connected to the corresponding research table.
After the research a new scribe table can be built, it looks like the regular one but is called Advanced scribe table and needs 2 birds to be operated.
What happens when you deactivate this option?
If this function is deactivated in the running game, any advanced scribe table built will disappear. Otherwise, nothing else should happen.
Default setting: Enabled
What does it do?
If this function is activated, all Medieval Overhaul relevant raw materials can be found with the help of the "Advanced scribe table".
These raw materials include:
What happens when you deactivate this option?
The vanilla resources (such as steel, plasteel, uranium, etc.) can be located again.
Default setting: Disabled
What does it do?
Removes fuel for torches, lamps and street lamps. As a result, these objects only produce light, but no longer heat. To prevent your pawns from freezing to death, the heat generation of the "wood burning stove" has been increased slightly, as has its fuel consumption.
What happens when you deactivate this option?
Can be deactivated/activated without further ado. Depending on the setting, the objects then need fuel or not.
Default setting: Disabled
What does it do?
If enabled, the animal helmets:
... can be worn over regular helmets.
