The Assailant unit represents the backbone of Southwest Tactics contracts as the standard infantry for practically all operations.

They are equipped with a standard issue plate carrier with 6 5.56 magazines, a radio, an IFAK, a backpanel, a lap protector and 2 chemlights; a belt with a mag dump pouch, a machete sheath, a torniquet, zipties and 2 pistol mags; a holster; and a MK2 Southwest IDH (Integrated Display Helmet.)
