Spear Railgun V2

This is a V2 of the original which you can find in my workshop.
The pictures were taken before I added the back panels so they can't be seen in them.
Most of how you use it is in test displays in the creation of the images above. So, I'm going to tell you how it works!

 

The "Spears"

The simplest thing here is only 4 parts the spear, outer case, effect activation, and flare. The spear pokes out the front to cause poke damage to whatever you shoot it at, but most of the time it is going too fast and shoves humans and robots back. Now, don't go thinking they won't die, if they get hit they will suffer anything from brain damage to burns or just fall apart. The outer shell is for decoration and holds the "spear" together. The effect activation is a laser detector that will send a signal to the flare when it detects lasers in the barrel. The Flare will heat up whatever is behind it and will go on forever try not to overheat the ground to sun levels OK?


Reloading

Spears are stored in a rack laser behind the rack will activate laser detectors to pull back the pistons dropping the spear. The spear will fall into an insertion arm that rotates the spear in the chamber this is kind of not needed but I want to keep as much of V1 as I can. The spear will go into the thing-a-mo-bob that rotates down to a piston to push the spear into a fall down. A cambering Piston will push the spear into the way of the firing piston. If you want to automate charging after this step turn on the setting "Auto charge after reload."

Settings system

The setting allows for the system to automatically switch to the next step in firing without player interaction. The words are self-explanatory like "auto charge after reload" will start the charging step after the reload is finished. The way settings are picked through a few laser-based gates where the piston is blocking a laser from sending a signal. This is located above the main control panel in the control room.


Power section

The fastest circuit in this whole thing can select a power level from 3 and automatically turn off the previous power selection. This thing is so cool and I just don't know how to explain it! The best way to figure out how this works is by watching it work in slow motion as it works a bit too fast for normal speed.

Round Recall

The super cool new feature I added and you might have to use it as sometimes PPG physics does something silly. The round is pushed out of the firing chamber by the firing piston after the power has been disconnected after it has done that the power will be reconnected. Then a piston will push the round up in front of a hole with a slide! A piston will push the spear into the where it will fall out of the "mountain" down into a cart and with some fancy use of pins pulled into a "garage." It will be unloaded from the cart into another slide out the back of the "mountain."

Other things

- To open the bunker door press the part above it
- A launch confirm button in the control room will active the firing piston after the rail gun has been charged,
- If you charge the rail gun without a spear you can fire it blank
- It can not survive a nuclear bomb and WILL break the spear rack.
