Mod «Eccentric Tech - Advanced Shields» for Rimworld (v1.3 - 1.4)

Adds 3 new advanced Eccentric Tech shield belts with unique barrier visuals and hit effects!

Phased Shield Belt - An advanced shield belt with increased shield capacity. It can take more damage at one time before collapsing, but it cannot recharge for several seconds after taking damage. It also recovers significantly faster after being broken.

Modulated Shield Belt - A phased shield belt that is able to synchronize itself with its user's actions, allowing ranged weapons to be used while it is used. It is heavier, has lower overall shield strength, and a longer recharge delay compared to the regular phased shield belt.

Layered Shield Belt - A phased shield belt with a special field generator that projects multiple layers of strong but brittle barriers. When struck, the outermost layer will "shatter" and disperse the energy of the attack, allowing it to shrug off powerful blows and limiting the amount of energy that can be lost from a single strike. It is vulnerable to rapid-fire weapons.

These items can be crafted at the Nanoassembler after unlocking the relevant Eccentric Tech research.

NOTE: The shield indicator UI for Eccentric Tech shows shield strength in actual HP values. The numbers shown may look lower than vanilla shield belts, but vanilla shield belts lose 3.3% strength for each point of damage taken.
