The main innovation of the mod is the Tortle Xenotype, from the planet Obsidia.
- Tortles are turtle-like xenoliths. It is unknown how they appeared on Obsidia, in one version they were created as keepers of the knowledge of the Obsidian Empire, in another they came from outside with an unknown purpose. They are very tenacious and strong, thanks to their armor, which slows them down but allows them to carry more weight. Their hands may look clumsy when using ranged weapons, but when it comes to performing surgery, Tortles are considered excellent doctors. They are resilient and excellent melee fighters. The main feature is the knowledge they have accumulated over generations and are able to share that knowledge with others, and their longevity helps them do just that.
