During the Chinese Civil war,a number of Thompson submachine guns were illegally exported to the country. During WW2, at least 3 Chinese arsenals built copies of those 1921 models (with varying degrees of quality,quantity,and even different details). Little is known about these guns, but some surviving examples have "Thampson" stamped on the side (likely a bad reading or translation of the original)
