The northeastern quadrant of Thesia very quickly became known as 'The Hell Away From Hell'. During the early months of the Silanean Conflict, most of the Thesian assaults were focused on the western edges of the Virskaian border, with bloody conflicts like the Skirmish at Helsin and the Battle of Lochan giving the western front a particular infamy unique to their respective theatre. It was for this reason that the tiny farming village of Ărkelé rapidly filled up with Thesian conscripts and attempted draft-dodgers.
