"Dealing with 9 Gs is tough, but for those UAVs, it's just another day at the office."
― Jaeger
The MQ-99 is sleek but compact in design, closely resembling a traditional fighter jet but small enough to be transported in a container truck. It is capable of launching directly from containers, making it ideal for surprise attacks, point-defense of strategically important facilities, and fast deployment to locations where traditional manned fighters are unable to take off and land.
The MQ-99 is highly agile, reportedly being capable of pulling turns up to 9 g's with relative ease. While not as advanced as the MQ-101s utilized by the Arsenal Bird, they are still a foe to be reckoned with. Their armament consists of an autocannon and a small internal weapons bay carrying air-to-air or air-to-ground missiles.
Like the MQ-101, the MQ99 receives its agility at the cost of fragility; it only takes one missile or a short cannon burst to destroy it, so the drones rely on advanced flight maneuvers to avoid enemy fire.
