Expanded Designers Combined

Expanded Designers Combined is a global overhaul of the designer system and the game's combat system as a whole. The main goal of this modification is to create a better gameplay experience without deviating too much from the vanilla game. The changes are aimed at improving and deepening the mechanics without losing compatibility with other modifications and remaining accessible to the AI.

Mod includes:

  • Armored vehicles and armored personnel carriers designer
  • Tank armament improvement system
  • Expansion of all vanilla designers and improvements to normal equipment
  • New roles of airplanes
  • AI improvement and customization
  • Rebalance of the supply system
  • Rebalance battalions and terrain modifiers
  • Additional research slot (optional)
  • Full Russian and English localization

Major Changes:
* Changes to ground warfare eradicate the unhistorical and illogical meta of cardboard tanks and land battleships by extolling classic WWII designs. The APC and armored vehicle designs further deepen the mechanics of the game, allowing players to customize them to fit their doctrines, while changes to battalions and terrain correct the developer's mistakes.
* Fleet changes are aimed at increasing the effectiveness of all types of ships and fixing vanilla's cruiser meta. Few modules have been added, but the overall balance has been drastically changed. All hail Megatron battleships!
* Aircraft rebalance adds a bunch of new modules, balance edits, and the ability for planes to do almost all missions. The last point allows planes with different modules to stack, though it does see a bit of a niggle from the AI. The flying tanks' meta is beefed up with new air defense modules for tanks.

Additional changes:
* The AI has been changed to be more effective and dangerous to the player. Using mostly historical designs, the AI has much better prioritization of production, etc. Good luck getting air superiority against the Brits in 1943.
* The supply system is redesigned to be less punishing and restrictive, but remaining an important factor in the game. The inflow of saplai from the provinces is increased and its consumption by units is reduced. This allows the scoop bot to not die in its own country, but remains an important factor, the violation of which can lead to the collapse of the front.
* Even during the creation of the mod was integrated a huge number of third-party modifications, such as tank icons from phonecrab - check the corresponding discussion.
* Well and many technologies have been changed, you know.

Compatible with Kaiserreich and other mods that do not affect combat and exploration.

  • Reverted to vanilla production GUI because of awful game-code.
  • Naval dockyards can no longer be build on allied territory.
  • Max supply node level is back to 1.

  • Fixed BUL being able to build armcars.
  • Secondary turret modules rebalanced again, enjoy.
  • All equipment take much less space in convoys, yeah, you don`t need a whole ship for one tank.
  • Trains cost less again.
  • Differentiated heavy cannon 3 into long-barreled and large-caliber ones.
  • Reverted changes to amphibious modules, mediums can swim again.
  • Fleet xp will now be earned as in vanilla, was reduced previously.
  • Fixed division icons bug, no more mooses and elks for our century.
  • Fixed mech recon limiting division speed to 4 km/h.
  • All recon units move at 110% speed rn.
  • Smaller fixes and ai_equipment balancing.

  • Rebalanced ground weapon modules to give % based bonuses instead of flat ones.
  • Rebalanced Mech specialisation modules.
  • Rebalanced carrier armor module and their stats. Touched fleet a bit.
  • Defines changes to improve AI.
  • Fixed a bug with medal granting.
  • Gave arty and SPG bonus against city and fort terrain. Plus fixed superstructure do not eat all breakthrough now.
  • Nerfed attack bonus from weaponry upgrade to total 30%+ (prev 40%).
  • Decreased flat cost of weaponry upgrade by 0.05 IC.
  • Improved mechanisation ugrade for self-prop rocket arty.
  • Other minor changes I forgot about.
  • BG3 is great.
